Create a Project

1. Select New Project on the projects page.
2. Enter the work title, genre, premise, or writing goal.
3. Confirm creation and inspect the initial reference volume, manuscript volume, and first chapter.

Use one project per independent work so character memory and retrieval results do not mix. You can then write the first chapter, import an existing manuscript, import only outlines and story data, or build the story bible and four-level outline first.

Guided book setup offers two starting paths. Manual setup works without a model and creates the work, references, canon, and first prose chapter. AI-assisted setup first checks the model, then moves through premise, research and ideas, worldbuilding, and character candidates.

Review each stage before accepting it. Accepted setting candidates become separate editable entries under References & Story Data with source links retained. Unaccepted candidates stay in the setup task and are not official project data. Before drafting, reopen one accepted entry and verify that it can be edited and saved.
